It is 40 kms from Marmaris. The houses are like Ula houses, inspired by Çakırhan. The brook that springs from a source a little bit above, always flowing strongly and ice-cold, pour into the bay. There are fish restaurants, always eith fresh fish, nice hotels and pensions alongside the brook. There is also a forest camp for those who are into camping. It is nice taking a walk alongside the brook, the seashore and in the forest. If you have time you can visit Ören, 48 kms further ahead, along the Gökova Bay.
The beautiful and peaceful town center, near the lake named after the town. A stroll along the lake, a boat tour on the lake. There are boats also going to the island and Dalyan. But you better spare the İztuzu, Kaunos tour for Dalyan. Be content with the islands, Sultaniye Thermal and mud baths during the boat tour. There are also hotels and restaurants by the lake.
Ekincik is one of the stopping points of blue cruise boats. It is the pretty village at the end of Ekincik cove. It is 25 – 30 kms to Köyceğiz from land. There is the Sultaniye thermal spring facility on the road by the lake, for those seeking a cure. The chemical ratio of the spring water is one of the highest and it is good for rheumatism, sciatica, skin and gynecological diseases.
